Our Story
Northwest Lumber Company was established in 1956 by Harry Greeley & his wife, Eva.
At first, Northwest Lumber was a just a mom & pop hardware store & a supplier of construction-grade plywood & lumber, but over the decades big-box stores started moving in, so Northwest Lumber evolved to become a one-of-a-kind shop that supplies furniture grade hardwoods, cabinet-grade plywood, exotic tone-woods for instrument building & fine woodworking hand tools.
The business is now run by third generation Greeleys & has been in the original location since the very beginning!
We are proud members of the Indiana Hardwood Lumbermen’s Association. IHLA is a non-profit, member-driven trade association comprised of sawmills, wholesale brokers, equipment vendors, secondary manufacturers, loggers, & land owners who recognize the benefits of working together on issues and projects for the good of the hardwood industry. IHLA members share a passion for creating the world’s finest hardwood products, and a determination to maintain the sustainable productivity of our nation’s forest resources.
